Disciples In God
The Farmington youth ministry is a comfortable, non-pressure place to ask the hard questions about God and figure out the answers together. Students in 7th-12th grade are invited to join this community who are all asking some of the same questions. Come discover who Jesus is and get to know some new people in the process!
WEEKLY MEETING
Our first priority is spiritual growth. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. Wednesday night is a place to connect, get to know each other, and most importantly get to know Jesus. Community is vital for following Jesus. We want to explore real topics and give students a voice on the issues they face. It’s a place to experience Jesus with others who are going through some of the same challenges in life.
SERVICE
Our second priority as a youth ministry is to serve our church and community. Each month there are opportunities for youth to share their skills throughout the church and out in the world as a group or as individuals. The last Sunday of each month we
choose a place in the community to serve and be the hands and feet of Jesus. We also serve with Eight Days of Hope.
FELLOWSHIP
Our third priority is to spend some fun times together, create great memories, and foster a comfortable environment where the youth can invite their friends to join us. Special programs like our winter retreats and our summer trip to Kingdom Bound are designed to help students work through their faith and have fun doing it. We also have periodic special events like move nights, games nights, birthday bashes and whatever ideas the group might come up with!

Kevin Smith
Youth & Young Adult Director
Kevin has been serving in youth ministry since 2016 and, in 2024, launched the church’s Young Adults program alongside a group of recent graduates. His passion is helping people meet Jesus, love Jesus, and serve Jesus through meaningful relationships and authentic faith.
Kevin brings an energetic and steady presence to ministry, guiding students and young adults as they grow in their walk with Christ. He loves seeing lives transformed through community, service, and spending time with Jesus.
Outside of ministry, Kevin enjoys working with his hands. He owns and operates both a horse care and a property care business. Kevin is married to Amanda Smith, our Children’s Director, and together they have four children. As a family, they enjoy camping and spending time outdoors.
